Turn to Lyons Law.

We'll make it right.

How Much Will It Cost?

With regard to personal injury and/or workers' compensation claims we offer our clients two options. You may decide to retain us on an hourly basis or on a contingent fee basis. Most of our clients elect to pay us on a contingent fee basis, and the legal fee typically charged in a personal injury case is equal to one-third (1/3) of the amount we recover for you plus out of pocket expenses. Contingent fees in workers' compensation claims are limited to twenty percent (20%) of the amount we recover for you, plus out of pocket expenses.

Our business and commercial litigation, divorce, and land use clients pay us on an hourly basis. Please contact our office for more information on our fees and hourly rates.

What If We Don't Recovery Anything?

In the rare event that no monies are recovered for you on a case in which you pay us on a contingent fee basis, you pay us only for out-of-pocket expenses and absolutely nothing for attorney fees. No exceptions.

Will I Have To Go To Court?

We prepare all personal injury cases for trial, but 90% of our cases don't go to trial. We have extensive experience trying cases successfully in courts throughout New Hampshire.

What If I Don't Want To Go To Court?

We know that no one really "wants" to go to court. However, if the insurance company or defendant refuses to pay you fair value of your claim, filing suit and actually going to trial may be necessary to protect your rights. However, we make every effort to successfully resolve your case prior to trial, either by way of settlement, arbitration or mediation.

If your case does have to go to court, we at Lyons Law Offices will stand by you every step of the way, aggressively advocating on your behalf.

How Long Will My Case Take to Complete?

Every case is different, and may vary in terms of complexity. We at Lyons Law Offices will handle your case as quickly possible to lessen the stress and burden on you and your family.

How Long Do I Have To Bring A Claim Forward?

While every case is different, they all have one thing in common. Every case has a certain time limitation, or statute of limitations, to bring a claim forward. For example, for a car accident in New Hampshire, you have three (3) years from the date of injury by which to file a lawsuit. If you fail to file within that time period, your claim will be barred.

Therefore, it is imperative that you contact a lawyer as soon as possible so as not to jeopardize your rights. As every case is different, contact our office to discuss the specific deadlines that apply to your case.

Will My Insurance Rates Go Up If I File A Claim?

If the accident is not your fault and you bring a claim against the other driver, your insurance company cannot increase your rates.

Can I Be Fired For Bringing a Workers' Compensation Claim?

Your employer is required by law to keep your job open for you for eighteen (18) months from the date of your injury provided you are able to return full duty to your regular job. As long as your employer has five or more employees, you will be entitled to receive workers' compensation benefits if you suffer a compensable injury at work. Please contact our office to discuss the specifics of your claim.
